How to use
- Type 2 to 8 participant names in the names box, separated by commas or new lines.
- Type as many outcomes as participants in the outcomes box. Leave it empty to get one Winner and the rest Miss.
- Press Build ladder to see the ladder and results. Tap a name to highlight the path it took.
How it stays fair
- The outcomes are shuffled first, so nobody knows in advance which slot wins.
- Rungs are placed at random on each row and never touch each other, so every path is unambiguous.
- Randomness comes from the browser's cryptographic random generator (crypto.getRandomValues).
Frequently asked questions
- How many people can play?
- From 2 to 8. The limit keeps the ladder easy to read on screen.
- Can the number of outcomes differ from the number of players?
- When you enter outcomes, the counts must match. If you only need one winner, leave the outcomes box empty.
- Can I play again with the same people?
- Press Build ladder again to get a new ladder with the same names and outcomes.
